Oriental Collection |
They’re rich, decadent, and almost good enough to eat! The range of Oriental prints that is now available is fantastic. All of the materials you will see in our shop are 100% cotton and made from the highest quality fabrics, suitable for piecing and fine needle-turn. Many have larger prints and the common thing I hear is “how could I possibly cut it up?!” The solution is to work with designs where you can use a large panel or piece, and “fussy-cut” the rest to create a mosaic effect in the same colour-way. Check out my bag patterns for some great examples. I have extensively taken on the challenge of finding prints to compliment these gorgeous fabrics. Your average small prints and homespun can often look dull next to these rich prints. That’s why you will also find in the shop a large range of beautiful tone on tone Batiks, and a wonderful collection of Michael Miller Fairy Frost which both enhance and compliment the Orientals beautifully. These fabrics are $25/m and you can order them by the Fat ¼ ($6.25 each) |

This wonderful range of fabrics have a unique lustre about them, which gives you some shine without ending up with glitter all over the house! The pearlized accents are leaf like in shape, and the overall effect is stunning. I use this range extensively with Oriental fabrics for many of my designs. They add fantastic interest and texture to colourwash projects as well, by mix and matching them with rich batiks. These fabrics are $25/m and you can order them by the Fat ¼ ($6.25 each) |

Batiks |

This unique fabric range will give you the colour intensity and look of a hand-dyed cotton, as well as a soft, smooth, high quality feel and texture, suitable for fine needleturn, as well as piecing. These Batiks also have a wonderful "shine" to them which adds to their appeal. Use them on their own to create wonderful colourwashes and applique, mix and match them with Oriental prints and our Fusion range for stunning results. There are hundreds of shades available, so if you have a particular colour you are after, please let me know. These fabrics are $25/m and you can order them by the Fat ¼ ($6.25 each) |

Fusions by Robert Kaufman |

It is really hard to find high quality fabrics to blend and coordinate with rich Orientals. That's why I was so impressed with this range of tonals. The depth of colour and fine leaf pattern is stunning, perfect for colourwash concepts and a must for Baltimores and other forms of applique. Fusions 6644 features a slightly different leaf pattern, outlined in fine metallic gold. The moment it arrived in the studio, we wondered how we had ever done without it! These fabrics are $25/m and you can order them by the Fat ¼ ($6.25 each) |
