This lovely lap sized (44" x 44") has octagonal pieced blocks alternating with fractmented ones. It's perfect for showing off your favourite oriental print, along with four smaller prints on a contrasting background. You will only need a metre of the main feature fabric, along with 10cm of four smaller complementary prints. It's a quick quilt to piece using strip sewing, or pull out your stash and make a scrap quilt with individual piecing.

I'm so excited about this new design. I love country redwork, but it doesn't go with my house! So I thought, what about some Oriental designs in pink instead! I have incorporated some traditional Japanese Mon symbols, plus a few designs of my own using Japanese textile themes and motifs. The four Japanese symbols are the motifs for the four seasons. The designs are worked in four shades of pink in DMC stranded cotton. The design equally looks lovely in shades of blues, greens, purples and black/greys. Don't be afraid to think about a black background with shades of red and gold either - yum!

Celtic Christmas Medallion

Every year it’s lovely if you can find the time to make something new for the Festive Season. Hopefully I have realised this pattern in time for you to make it for this year! Featuring easy assembly with the knot sections adhered on, and raw edges concealed with ready made bias, this lovely piece will make a stunning table centre piece, cloth for a decorator table, or regal wall hanging.

It would also make the perfect centre panel for a medallion quilt, in rich burgundies, mustards and greens….

Pin Wheel Peonies

This little project makes a great wall hanging and is a perfect size to make into an European Cushion. You could also use it as a starting point for a larger medallion quilt.
The centre octagon has blanket stitched peonies and stem detail that can be sticthed using stem or chain stitch. The outer corners are created with paper pieced octagons.
